Rector Search

We, at St. John’s Episcopal Church-Midland, are excited to conduct the search for our next Rector who will boldly proclaim the Gospel, faithfully administer the Sacraments, and serve God’s people with love and compassion.

Candidates

St. John’s Episcopal Church-Midland thanks you for your interest in our community of believers. We seek a full-time Rector to lead our pastoral and administrative team. In this role, you will lead, shepherd, educate, counsel, care, administrate, and motivate. The congregation lives by its inclusive Welcoming Statement and looks forward to leadership which supports these values. We desire a candidate who can review the “as is” environment, cooperatively discern new opportunities, and kindly guide us to strengthen our education, programming, and outreach. The Rector Search Committee looks forward to further discussing the position and answering any questions during the interview process.

Please direct questions to Canon Tracie Little, Transitions Officer for the Diocese of Eastern Michigan, at tlittle@eastmich.org or 810-300-9177. To submit your name for consideration, please email Canon Little. The application process is detailed in the Introduction on page 1 of the Parish Profile (see below).

Thank You

Our Rector Search Committee thanks all internal and external contributors to this important process. Our congregants provided valuable input through multiple listening sessions, group discussions, and written comments. Our community partners provided content to highlight our many partnerships and area amenities. These contributions were vital in determining our strengths, needs, and future opportunities to share the Word of God with others.
